Accurate Positioning for Consistent Assembly

 

The Metal Stamped Clip is designed to locate components accurately during assembly and keep them securely in position. Dimensional accuracy is critical because even a small positioning error can affect the alignment of the entire assembly.

Slot symmetry is controlled within 0.08 mm to ensure balanced engagement on both sides of the clip. The standard fit clearance between the clip and the mounting slot is maintained at 0.05–0.1 mm, providing a secure fit with minimal movement after installation. For applications requiring tighter positioning, the clearance can be adjusted to meet specific assembly requirements.

One project involved an automated production line where the previous locating clip produced an alignment error of approximately 0.1 mm, causing assembled parts to sit out of position. After the slot symmetry was improved to 0.05 mm, the replacement Metal Stamped Clip met the customer's assembly requirements and passed the initial inspection without further adjustment.

Static load testing shows a pull-out resistance of more than 80 kg, providing reliable retention under normal operating conditions. For heavier equipment or higher load applications, the clip structure can be reinforced to further increase holding strength.

Corrosion Protection and Material Verification

 

Yellow zinc passivation is supplied as the standard surface treatment to improve corrosion resistance. For outdoor installations or harsher service environments, 60 μm powder coating is available. Surface treatment can be selected according to the required corrosion protection level.

SPCC and SGCC are commonly used for standard applications, while 304 stainless steel is recommended where higher corrosion resistance is required. Standard material thickness ranges from 1.2 mm to 2.0 mm, with custom production available up to 3.5 mm.

Slot profiles, locating steps, mounting ears, and other structural features are manufactured according to customer drawings. Incoming raw materials are verified by spectral analysis before production begins to ensure the correct steel grade is used throughout the project.

Complex samples are typically completed within 5–10 days. For first-time projects, finished parts can also be inspected through live video before shipment.
