Folded Edge Design for Higher Structural Strength
Stainless Steel Fixing Plates are used to secure two components while improving the overall rigidity of the assembly. A single 90-degree folded edge is formed as part of the stamping process to reinforce the structure. Rather than serving as a cosmetic feature, the folded edge increases strength and helps maintain accurate positioning after installation.
The perpendicularity of the folded edge is controlled within 0.1 mm, allowing both connecting surfaces to remain square during assembly. Compression testing shows that the standard design withstands a single-point load of more than 90 kg. Compared with a flat plate of the same material and thickness, the folded design delivers approximately 30% greater structural strength.
For applications requiring additional load capacity, both the material thickness and fold height can be increased. SGCC hot-dip galvanized steel is commonly selected because its factory-applied zinc coating provides more consistent corrosion protection than conventional electroplated finishes. Stainless steel, aluminum, and spring steel are also available to meet different application requirements.
Standard material thickness ranges from 1.0 mm to 2.0 mm, while custom production is available from 0.8 mm to 4.0 mm. Standard mounting hole diameters are Φ5.2 and Φ6.2, suitable for M5 and M6 fasteners. Other dimensions are manufactured according to customer drawings.
Corrosion Protection and Consistent Manufacturing Quality
Yellow zinc plating is supplied with a coating thickness of 10–15 μm, providing 72 hours of salt spray resistance without visible rust. Alternative surface finishes, including black zinc, nickel plating, and powder coating, are available for different service environments.
To maintain coating consistency, the zinc plating solution is inspected daily, and coating thickness is verified before shipment. Parts that do not meet specification are removed from production before packaging.
Manufacturing is organized into dedicated stamping, bending, welding, inspection, and packing areas to improve process control and product consistency. Low-volume production is supported, and standard samples are typically completed within 3–5 days.
Third-party inspection is welcome for new projects, and production progress can also be reviewed through live video inspection when required. Shipment can be arranged under EXW, FOB, or DDP terms. If a quality issue is confirmed, corrective action is handled promptly with a clear solution rather than unnecessary delays.
